ZOOM IN

Everyday life is more like a routine for everyone and in our rush we lose the details that complete our life, making it more beautiful. My desire to understand this place and its habits, I decided to Zoom in into the specific character of this place. So, I was really impressed to see how Finnish people evolved, but in the same time the tradition is not forgotten and it’s passed to the next generation.
I don’t imagine a new world through my paintings, but I bring out small details from old Finland. So, the details I painted are realized in a particular way that creates a new story for the viewer. The image is creating a brainstorming for the viewer who completes the painting with its own memories and events.
The details I choose are divided in 4 moments: from inside of a house, outside village, food and smoke sauna. The interior of the house I see it like the family intimacy and its outside like a protective exterior. Food is the people need to exist and the sauna is used for socialization.
